The Fife Gridiron Association was formed to oversee the provision of American Football in Fife.

Our objective is to provide sustainable opportunities for the people of Fife to enjoy American Football either as a player, coach, cheerleader, volunteer or spectator regardless of age, gender, ethnic background, sexual orientation, disability or nationality.

We work to advance public participation in sport through American Football, and to further citizenship and community development through the use of American Football.

In pursuance of our objective, we:

  • Ensure the provision of training and playing facilities for our members.
  • Provide equal opportunities for successful participation in the sport by all sections of the community.
  • Provide for coach development and education, and promote continuous personal development.
  • Provide good quality equipment and teaching resources.
  • Promote and maintain the highest standards of technical competence and safety in the sport.
  • Promote sport, the ethics of good sportsmanship, and the upholding of the rules of sport.
  • Promote a healthy and active lifestyle by educating members on healthy eating and providing fitness and conditioning sessions.
  • Work with primary schools with PE sessions and after school programmes in the form of American Football.
  • Provide sporting opportunities that are less traditional to encourage people not normally involved with sport to take up a more active lifestyle.
